S-100/185 Basics of Fire Suppression

S-100 covers the fundamentals of fire suppression in forestry. The intended audience for this course is forest industry workers, firefighters, government agencies, First Nations and interface communities. It is required training for anyone working on the fireline, or working remotely in areas with wildfire potential (pipeline workers, heavy equipment operators, etc.).

16 hours (2 days), classroom and field component

*Renew annually with S-100A

ICS Incident Command Systems

Incident Command System is the organizational structure used on wildfire and other emergency response incidents across Canada. It is suitable for any size of incident with the ability to expand and contract as needed. ICS 100 is an introductory level course, wile ICS 200 is required for Crew Leaders.
